Over time, the small team grew to more than 2,000 members, and sales had gone from good to exceptional. Although growth came quickly, the company maintained its entrepreneurial and team-oriented spirit.
Today, Defenders, runs a mix of on-premise and SaaS applications for core business functions, while handling application integration using Microsoft BizTalk Server and Microsoft Azure Enterprise integration. The successful rollout of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 is driving an increased need for Azure Enterprise integration services such as Azure Logic Apps and Azure Service Bus.
Defenders relies on a third-party service provider to perform credit checks for new customers. Credit checks are a vital sales tool and an important step in developing new business.
Credit check processes, however, can be slow and error-prone. They are a regulated activity and so they must be handled carefully and securely. This often results in repeat credit checks, which can negatively impact the entire sales process.
Solution
To safely integrate with their credit check partner and avoid repeat credit checks, TwoConnect developed an Azure Logic App extension, the Credit Check Integration App, onto the existing BizTalk Server CRM Integration App. The Credit Check Integration App manages the entire interaction between Defenders' Microsoft CRM-based sales pipeline and credit check partners, enabling substantial solution benefits such as:
- Prioritizing queries based on business rules
- Avoiding costly repeat checks
- Dynamically queuing and retrying new credit checks in the event of communication failure or partner downtime
